Beyond Leather IPPC Videos

This was year two of the International Pony Play Championships, held at the Beyond Leather weekend in Ft Lauderdale, FL.  

During the IPPC event, a Pony and a Handler present themselves in three categories:  Judges Interview, Equitation (a dressage-style skill event) and Freestyle.  Pony and Handler must have been working together for a minimum of 1 year to qualify to win, although they can still compete just for the experience.  And the fun!

This year the Grand Champion slot was taken by Pony Diamond and Master Oakman.  Here's a video of our interview and their freestyle competition piece.

Evolution of the Revolution

Good Fortune Abounds at Evolution of the Revolution 3

Evolution of the Revolution 3 (EvoRevo3) will be held September 14-16, 2012, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Albuquerque, NM. This annual event, produced by New Mexico FetLifers, examines the breadth of alternative sexuality by asking presenters and attendees to examine where we have been and where we are headed as a matrix of subcultures. 

EvoRevo3 features Guy Baldwin, Vi Johnson, and the Carter/Johnson Leather Library. In 2011, Mama Vi, boy robi, and Max Rulz traveled to New Mexico, making Albuquerque the farthest West the Library has been to date. EvoRevo3 will constitute renowned leather icon Guy Baldwin’s first-ever appearance in New Mexico.  Presenters at the conference include Max Rulz, Danielle dv8, Deborah Isadora Wade, Phoenix B, and Mistress Saskia.

EvoRevo opens on Friday night with a five-star cocktail party. Vendors line the ballroom, along with an event photographer and New Mexico’s beloved bootblack, IMsBB 2010 Jayson DaBoi. Across the hall, the Leather Library beckons with shelve of books, photo albums, and memorabilia. Hungry? Indulge in lavish food, including bacon-wrapped scallops, spanakopita, and chocolate fountains; or grab a shrimp cocktail from one of the waiters touring the room. Whet your palate with a cocktail made by one of the Hard Rock’s expert mixologists. Wrap raffle tickets around ample bosoms and pull them down long inseams for a chance to win prizes donated by diverse kinky vendors. After the party, stroke your luck on the casino floor and check out the Tequila Room and Center Bar before retiring and catching extra winks in one of the Hard Rock’s five-star sleeping rooms.

Butchmanns Experience

All Male Butchmanns Experience/Phoenix June 22nd-24th 

The Butchmanns Experience is an intensive educational weekend designed to provide an opportunity for self-discovery in pursuit of self-actualization. The event includes hands-on training in basic SM practices, protocol and rituals, and a view of leadership and obedience through the lens of Master/slave dynamics.

The activities include intentional flogging, ritual temporary piercing, the call to serve and be served, and transformational mummification. These activities are further explored through in-depth discussions. The environment is structured to encourage safely entering new experiences, with the instructors and staff supporting each individual’s unique experience.

Personally, Butchmanns Experience has been a place where I can feel free to be myself without reservation. I am always exposed to new ideas and new experiences and encouraged to go wherever that takes me. That opportunity is provided not only by instructors and staff but also through interactions with attendees. This is particularly true in the All Male Butchmanns Experience.  It has been my experience that an erotic aspect of the All Male BE allows me to experience my fetishes more naturally. There is no sex during the scheduled session.

TLP 2012

"So You Want To Be Kinky???", in conjunction with Heart of the Flag Federation Inc. (HOTF) presents the Toronto Leather Pride Educational Series 2012, August 11-12, 2012. As part of the Toronto Leather Pride (TLP) Weekend, August 09-12, 2012. 

Toronto Leather Pride has become one of the largest city leather/fetish/kink events in North America. Following the tremendous success of last year's TLP 2011 Educational Series, "So You Want To Be Kinky???" is now seeking qualified individuals interested in presenting workshops, demonstrations, and discussions during the TLP 2012 weekend. This year, the educational series will be presented on the Saturday and Sunday of the event weekend.

The "So You Want To Be Kinky???" Educational Group is planning a total of 10 seminars for that weekend. Each seminar must be 45 to 60 minutes in length. Anyone interested in presenting a seminar this year must submit a completed Seminar Proposal Form no later than June 1st, 2012. A maximum of 10 proposals will be selected from all those received by the deadline.

Presenters will receive 1 full package and if they have an assistant they would receive 50% off a package. If 2 seminars are presented then both the presenter and assistant would receive a full package.

Interview with Sir Top

We covered the fun and pleasure-packed Beyond Leather weekend in Ft Lauderdale the last of April. Once the weekend wound down we had a chance to sit down with Sir Top, one of the founders and producers.

Top, along with slave bonnie, is perennially busy with fetish events, both as a producer and a presenter.  There's definitely a well-deserved sense of pride with the Beyond Leather event.

Beyond Leather IPE Videos

This year the producers at Beyond Leather debuted a new event, the International Power Exchange contest.

The competition is open to power exchange dynamic duos or triads such as Dominant/submissive, Femdom/submissive, Handler/puppy, Daddy or Mommy with a boi/boy/girl, Sir/Ma'am with a boi/boy/girl/little and the list goes on. 

Three PE duos competed this first year with Lady Elsa and boi kris taking the top slot.  Here is an interview I did with them as well as their on-stage presentation.  Enjoy the videos after the jump!

Sacramento Valley Heat

Join the Sacramento Valley Leathermen for Sacramento Valley Heat.  Last year, SVH raised thousands for local charities including Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, Sunburst Projects, Sacramento Valley Veterans, and the Gender Health Center.  The event boasted the biggest night ever for the Bolt, bringing hundreds of kinksters to Sacramento for a weekend of debauchery.

This event will be legendary!  Sac Valley Heat will start with a tribute to the legends and trailblazers of the leather community at the first annual Sacramento Leather Dinner.  Featured honorees include Sandy “Mama” Reinhardt.  Tickets to the leather dinner can be purchased online.

As always, SVH will feature a vendors fair, games, demos, bootblacking and more. The fun starts July 6-8 at the Bolt at 2560 Boxwood St in Sacramento, CA.  Registration is $35 for general admission and can be purchased online.

The Blue Max Cycle Club of St. Louis, Missouri has spread its wings again and converted our local Daddy/boy contest (a part of Blue Max C.C. for 30 years) into the Central Plains International Leather Sir/Leather boy/Community Bootblack Competition. 

The winners were Sir Robb, boy Swey, and bootblack Loki.  Congratulations to each and to all contestants that participated from Missouri and Kansas.  You performed above all expectations and made it a great contest.

As Blue Max C.C. embarked on this new adventure as president of Blue Max C.C. I would like to recognize the following people.

All of our judges who took time out of their busy schedules to help Blue Max C.C. with this new event which will be an annual event. Thanks to Jeff and Jerry at JJ’S Clubhouse for providing the venue and supporting Blue Max C.C. as we staged this event and for all of the other things they do for us, not to mention the Show Me Bears, and Gateway MC. This and so many other events wouldn't happen without their help and encouragement.   

Wolvesperv at CLAW

Over the years I have visited two of the big American Leather events a few times – Folsom Street and IML. Last year I decided it was time to loose my CLAW virginity, and so flights across the Atlantic booked and hotel bookings made. I just had to wait about 6 months for the actual event to come around.

Many people asked how I heard about CLAW … I get the impression that over the years they haven’t really had that many visitors from the UK. And truth be told, I'm not actually sure. I assume it must have been through my visits to SF, Folsom, IML or most likely mentions on blogs like this one reporting on it.

However I found it I am really glad I did!

The long weekend was so busy with so many great experiences; it wouldn’t be possible to include all of them in this blog. I've done my best to give an idea of what I got up to and what goes on over the weekend.

CLAW is a relatively small event, particularly when you compare it to the Big Daddy of IML – it has grown over its 11 year history, this year attendance was probably around 1,200 -1,400 I’d guess. They sold out both host hotels, I know there were people looking for room shares. So it isn’t ‘small’, and even at this size there is a huge amount of work and effort put into the organisation of the event, a charitable non-profit one run by volunteers!

I was attending this year as a CLAW virgin, I was going by myself. I knew nobody else attending. I had no idea what to expect. And the trip involved visiting a city in another country with 12 hours of travel and a five hour time zone shift.

That would only mean one thing … hello Mr Jetlag!
